The Opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity to build the QA function from scratch at B-Parts. The selected candidate will have the autonomy to define and implement quality assurance best practices, from strategy to execution, in close collaboration with our development team. If you're passionate about quality, have a keen eye for detail, and want to make a real impact on an e-commerce product, this is your chance.

What is expected in this role:

  • Define and Implement QA Strategy: Develop and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for all functionalities of our e-commerce platform.

  • Manual and Automated Testing: Conduct detailed manual tests and, progressively, identify opportunities for test automation, selecting and implementing the appropriate tools.

  • E-commerce Focus - Pay special attention to critical areas of the platform, including:

    • Purchase flow (from cart to checkout)

    • Payment gateway integration

    • Product search and filter functionalities

    • Website performance and load times

    • Cross-browser and cross-device compatibility (desktop and mobile)

    • Security testing

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, identify bugs, and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Bug Management: Identify, document, and track defects clearly and concisely using JIRA.

  • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test results and provide clear reports on product quality and testing progress.

  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of quality throughout the engineering team by participating in code reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes.

What are we looking for (knowledge, skills and abilities):

Must-haves

  • Proven Experience: Professional experience in software Quality Assurance, preferably in an e-commerce or web application environment.

  • Testing Tools: Knowledge of test management and bug tracking tools.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).

    • Basic knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    • Experience using REST APIs and tools like Postman.

    • Knowledge of SQL for data validation in databases.

  • Critical Thinking: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.

  • Proactivity and Autonomy: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage your own time and tasks.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Portuguese and English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).

  • Knowledge of performance and security testing.

  • QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB).
